High praise from Thiago Motta for Kenan Yıldız: 'A big star'

Juventus head coach Thiago Motta made glowing remarks about Nico Gonzalez and Kenan Yıldız ahead of their match away at Monza. Motta emphasized that these two players hold a very important place in the team.

Speaking about Kenan Yıldız, Motta stated, “Kenan is a very talented player; he can play as a forward, as an attacking midfielder, and on the right wing.”

REACTION TO THE QUESTION

Thiago Motta reacted to a question regarding the team's defensive weaknesses during the press conference held after Juventus' 2-1 away win against Monza. After Sky reporter Giovanni Guardalà asked a question about Juventus' general performance and then quickly followed up with two more questions in succession regarding Koopmeiners' condition and the defensive vulnerabilities shown against a team at the bottom of the league, Motta responded as follows:

"I was expecting everyone to ask one question each. I am answering, but that was the third one... I repeat, our opponent found as many opportunities as we did. We scored twice, they scored once. Monza has quality players and they put in a good performance, but we were better. Still, we need to improve in every aspect."

GAPS IN DEFENSE

Juventus has been experiencing significant issues in its defensive line in recent weeks. The injuries to Bremer and Cabal stand out as one of the primary reasons for these problems. While Bremer was the leader of the team's defense, Cabal also held great value with his versatility. However, the absence of both players has created a major void that Motta has not been able to compensate for in a short time.

While Juventus did not concede a goal in the first six matches of the season, they have conceded 10 goals in the 11 matches that followed. Four of these goals were recorded against Inter, and two each against Parma and Bologna.
