Hull City, having returned to the Premier League, has accelerated its transfer efforts ahead of the new season. The club has now signed Ecuadorian footballer Oscar Zambrano, who previously had a short loan spell with the team, on a permanent transfer.
In the public announcement, it was stated that the 22-year-old footballer, who was playing for the Slovenian team Maribor, has agreed to a four-year deal with Hull City. The club's statement included the following: “Hull City is pleased to announce that Ecuadorian defensive midfielder Oscar Zambrano has been transferred from Slovenian side Maribor on a permanent basis and has returned to the team.”
In posts made on social media platforms, the player's return was welcomed with enthusiasm by fans with messages such as “He is coming back” and “Welcome back, Oscar.”
Oscar Zambrano played in eight matches during his previous loan spell at Hull City, contributing to the team with one goal and one assist during that period.
