IETT adds 140 extra services for Galatasaray-Liverpool match
IETT has prepared an additional transportation plan to reduce congestion around the stadium ahead of the Galatasaray – Liverpool FC match taking place this evening. To ensure fans can reach the match comfortably, 60 bus and 80 metrobus services have been added.
Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel Operations (IETT) has announced that it has implemented additional transportation arrangements in anticipation of fan density ahead of the Galatasaray – Liverpool FC match to be played this evening.
In a statement from the institution, it was noted that additional services have been planned to meet the transportation demand around the stadium before the match, which will begin at 20:45 at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Rams Park.
BUS SERVICES INCREASED
According to the statement, 60 additional buses will serve in the region in addition to the 458 bus services planned after 18:45. Thus, it is aimed to increase the capacity on the lines providing access to the stadium.
EXTRA SERVICES ON METROBUS
A similar arrangement was made on the metrobus line. It was reported that 80 additional metrobus services were planned to respond to the fan density.
IETT emphasized that the additional planning aims to ensure that fans reach the stadium faster and more safely. The statement also noted that Galatasaray represents Turkey in the UEFA Champions League and wished the yellow-red team success.
