Israeli army announces it has attacked Syria
The Israeli army has announced that it has launched an attack against the Syrian army.
The Israeli army reported that it has targeted command centers, air defense units, and military infrastructure belonging to the Syrian army.
In a statement from the Israeli army spokesperson, it was stated that the Syrian army's air defense units, command centers, and military structures were struck.
It was claimed that the attack was carried out in response to 2 UAVs launched from the direction of Syria toward the Israeli city of Eilat on the Red Sea coast.
According to the report by the Syrian administration's news agency SANA, 1 Syrian soldier was killed and 3 Syrian soldiers were wounded in the attack on military bases in the south and a building in the Kafr Sousa district of Damascus.
The Kafr Sousa district in Damascus is known to host Iranian-backed groups.
Since the start of the civil war in 2011, Israel has periodically carried out attacks in Syria against Iranian-backed groups and military points belonging to the Syrian army.
