Jose Mourinho to sue Galatasaray
Following Galatasaray's announcement that they would report Jose Mourinho to UEFA and FIFA, accusing him of racist rhetoric, the Portuguese manager has met with his lawyers and decided to initiate legal proceedings.
Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho has decided to take legal action following the tension with Galatasaray.
The yellow-red club had harshly criticized the comments Mourinho made after the derby and announced that they would file a criminal complaint against the Portuguese manager. Galatasaray had also announced that they would file a complaint with UEFA and FIFA, characterizing Mourinho's words as "racist rhetoric."
Following these developments, Mourinho held a meeting with his lawyers.
According to the report by Sercan Hamzaoğlu, the Portuguese coach decided to initiate legal proceedings against the Galatasaray club, stating that the statements made were an attack on his personal rights.
Fenerbahçe Club also issued a statement regarding the events, expressing that Mourinho's remarks were taken out of context. The yellow-navy team stated that the Portuguese manager's words were distorted and announced that they would exercise their legal rights against Galatasaray's accusations.
