Kocaelispor's trophy has gone missing: President Recep Durul asks fans for help

Kocaelispor Club President Recep Durul has announced that the 3rd League championship trophy won by the club in the 2019-2020 season is missing.

Speaking to İHA, President Durul said, "They did not show enough respect for the past. Everyone who came along put themselves in the foreground. We are asking for support from our fans and the people of Kocaeli to find the trophy. Anyone with information should contact us."

President Durul continued his speech as follows:

In the past, there was not enough respect for Kocaelispor's history; it was neglected. What does this show? Everyone who came along put themselves in the foreground there. They left Kocaelispor behind. We, however, prioritize the past and future of Kocaelispor. Kocaelispor will be ahead of everything. We will never, ever allow our managers or any other friend to put themselves in the foreground or place themselves ahead of Kocaelispor. These things were done in the past. There are some dirty minds. We will continue to clean them up as well. We will make Kocaelispor's history clear, transparent, and reliable. 

When we came into office, we noticed the trophy was missing while conducting research. We have started an effort to find it and put it back in its place. It was lost during the period before us. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the lost trophy, please contact us. We request from our stakeholders, the public, and our fans; if they obtain any information, please share that information with us. Let us find that trophy and put it in our museum.”
