Lee Carsley named interim manager of England national football team
Lee Carsley has been appointed as the interim manager of the England national football team.
In a statement released by the English Football Association, it was announced that an agreement has been reached with Carsley to serve as the interim manager following the departure of Gareth Southgate.
It was stated that Carsley will lead the team in the UEFA Nations League matches beginning in September, while the search for a permanent manager continues.
The 50-year-old English manager, who played for teams such as Derby County, Blackburn Rovers, and Everton during his professional career, has been coaching the England Under-21 national team since 2021.
