Left-back move from the Lions: Contact made with star player

The Lions have opened the mid-season transfer window early. Rolling up their sleeves once again to address the crisis at left-back that has remained unresolved for years, the Yellow-Reds have decided to make another solid addition to this position during the winter break. The fact that Ismail Jakobs, who was loaned from Monaco at the start of the season with a mandatory purchase clause, has not met expectations and has suffered his second consecutive injury, effectively ending his season, has led to a renewed focus on the left-back position.

Manager Okan Buruk and the scouting team have come together regarding the left-back transfer. Many names were identified in the latest meeting. It has been learned that the route has first been turned toward England.

FIRST TARGET IS MITCHELL

Galatasaray's primary target for the left-back position is Tyrick Mitchell, who plays for Zaha's former club, Crystal Palace. It has emerged that, in addition to Cim Bom, many other European clubs are in contact with the 25-year-old player, whose contract with the Premier League club expires at the end of the season. However, the Yellow-Reds will push all conditions for the 1.81-meter-tall English player, who has a market value of 25 million Euros.

Galatasaray's biggest advantage regarding Mitchell, who has received full approval from Okan Buruk, is that while other suitors want to sign him for free at the end of the season, the Yellow-Reds want to pay a reasonable transfer fee and finalize the deal in January.

Furthermore, the mutual termination of Jakobs' contract is also on the agenda for this transfer. It has been reported that discussions will be held not only with Jakobs but also with his club, Monaco, regarding the termination.
