Liverpool parts ways with Arne Slot
Premier League side Liverpool has announced that it has parted ways with Dutch manager Arne Slot.
The Arne Slot era has come to an end at English club Liverpool. In a statement released on Liverpool's official website, it was announced that the club has parted ways with the Dutch manager. The statement also noted that Slot, who contributed to the club winning its 20th league title in history, will hold a special place in the club's history. While thanking Arne Slot, it was stated that the team's recent performance led to the decision to part ways.
The 47-year-old manager, who began coaching Liverpool at the start of the 2024-2025 season, won the Premier League title in his first year and reached the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League. In the 2025-2026 season, however, the English side finished the league in 5th place with 60 points, 25 points behind champions Arsenal.
In his Liverpool career, Arne Slot appeared in 113 official matches, recording 66 wins, 18 draws, and 29 losses, achieving a points-per-game average of 1.91.
