Liverpool wins: Finishes the week as leader
The breathtaking title race in the English Premier League continues. Liverpool, a contender for the league title, defeated Sheffield United 3-1 to finish the week at the top of the table.

Hosting Sheffield United at Anfield Stadium, the "Reds" secured the victory with goals from Darwin Nunez in the 17th minute, Alexis Mac Allister in the 76th minute, and Cody Gakpo in the 90th minute. The visiting team's goal came from an own goal by Conor Bradley in the 58th minute.
With this result, Liverpool reached 70 points, finishing the week at the top, 2 points ahead of their followers Arsenal and 3 points ahead of Manchester City.
Sheffield United, at the bottom of the league, remained at 15 points.
