Lucescu's son crushes Fatih Terim's Panathinaikos! Championship hopes are gone...

Panathinaikos, under the management of Fatih Terim, lost to PAOK and saw their championship hopes vanish.

Hosting Panathinaikos in the 9th week of the play-offs, PAOK finished the first half 1-0 ahead with a goal from Taison in the 37th minute. The home team extended their lead to 2-0 with a penalty goal by Andrija Zivkovic in the 72nd minute.

Panathinaikos narrowed the gap to one with a goal by Alexander Jeremejeff in the 78th minute. PAOK brought the score to 4-1 with goals from Vieirinha in the 89th minute and Zivkovic in the 90+2nd minute, and the match ended with this score.

With this victory, PAOK enters the final week in the top spot and is now one match away from the championship.

In the day's other match, Olympiacos defeated visiting AEK 2-0, knocking their opponent off the top spot.

Following these results, before the final week, PAOK sits at the top with 77 points, AEK is second with 75 points, Olympiacos is third with 73 points, and Panathinaikos is in fourth place with 71 points.

MADE POST-MATCH STATEMENTS

Fatih Terim made statements after the match.

Noting that they need to discuss some things after the PAOK defeat, Fatih Terim said, "We shouldn't look at the event just as a 4-1 score. We lost. We must look at it this way. I congratulate PAOK. As for the match, we need to discuss some things at the end of the year; we have a match against Olympiacos and also our cup final. We have to think about these. We found the goal too late. We weren't very good at first in the final third until we found the goal. We did some things right, but unfortunately, we continue to make individual mistakes and concede goals. When we are behind on the scoreboard, we are very affected in terms of our play."
