Major shock for Arda Turan from the court

The sentence for Arda Turan, who played for Atletico Madrid between 2011-2015 and Barcelona during the 2015-2018 period, regarding tax evasion has been determined.

A verdict has been reached for Arda Turan, who was involved in a case in Spain concerning tax evasion in 2015 and 2016.

HE ADMITTED HIS GUILT

According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, the 37-year-old former footballer admitted the facts at the 13th Criminal Court in Barcelona, and the parties reached an agreement. Subsequently, the magistrate sentenced him to six months in prison for each of the two tax crimes committed against the Public Treasury.

Because Arda Turan admitted his guilt, the judge imposed a total fine of 633,000 euros, consisting of 303,000 euros for the 2015 fiscal year and 330,000 euros for the 2016 fiscal year.

HE WILL PAY 633 THOUSAND EUROS

Arda Turan, who admitted to tax evasion, will only pay the 633,000 euro fine because the prison sentence is less than 2 years.

The public prosecutor's office states that the footballer failed to pay approximately 975,000 euros in personal income tax.
