Major shock for Luis Diaz! His parents kidnapped!

Liverpool player Luis Diaz has made headlines due to an extraordinary incident.

According to a report by the Colombian media outlet Semana, Diaz's parents, Luis Manuel Diaz and Cilenis Marulanda, were kidnapped on Saturday afternoon in the Barrancas region of Guajira.

ARMED INDIVIDUALS BLOCKED THEIR PATH

It was noted that while Diaz's parents were traveling by truck to their neighborhood, Los Olivos, on Saturday, their path was blocked by armed individuals on motorcycles. It was reported that the armed assailants got off their motorcycles, entered Marulanda and Diaz's vehicle, and abducted the pair.

AUTHORITIES HAVE TAKEN ACTION

Following the kidnapping, it was stated that military and police forces launched an operation to rescue Luis Diaz's family. It was expressed that authorities would hold an emergency meeting to determine who else was in the truck with Diaz's family and to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.

Meanwhile, according to information obtained by Semana from sources working on the case, it was claimed that Diaz's mother has been rescued. Information received from these sources included the statements: "The mother is in our custody, she is in good health, frightened but well. They took the father out of the car and led him through the trails there."
