Matteo Guendouzi, who joined Fenerbahçe during the mid-season transfer window, thanked the yellow-navy fans for their support and sent a message for the new season. In a post on his social media account, Guendouzi stated the following:

"Six months. Every emotion imaginable. That goal I scored against Galatasaray in the cup, lifting that trophy, the noise in the stands, that madness. One of the most magnificent moments of my career. I will carry this in my heart forever. Then, a season that did not end the way we deserved.

Changes that none of us could have foreseen, but despite all of this, you never left my side. You made me feel like one of your own. I would like to thank our president, the board of directors, head coach Domenico Tedesco, and Devin Özek for believing in me and giving me this home.

To you, the loyal fans of Fenerbahçe, as long as I wear this jersey, I will give everything I have. Rest assured that we will make these colors shine. Our story does not end here."

Guendouzi played in 22 matches last season, 15 of which were in the Süper Lig, and scored 2 goals.
