Mourinho is coming to Istanbul for Fenerbahçe: We are meeting in Kadıköy tomorrow!

While the excitement of the presidential election continues in Fenerbahçe, there are also hot developments regarding Jose Mourinho.

According to the report by Sports Digitale Editor-in-Chief Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Jose Mourinho will be in Istanbul tomorrow at 14:00.

WHO IS JOSE MOURINHO?

Called "The Special One" and considered among the best managers of all time, Jose Mourinho was born on January 26, 1963, in Setubal, Portugal.

Following in the footsteps of his footballer father, Mourinho started football in the youth team of Belenenses and, after rising to the top level, began his professional career with Rio Ave. Jose Mourinho, whose football career was not as brilliant as his managerial career, played for Belenenses and GD Sesimbra respectively after Rio Ave, and finally ended his football career at the Comercio e Industria team.

After his playing career, Mourinho worked as a manager for the Setubal U17 team in 1987 and the U19 team in 1989, and began working as an assistant coach at CF Estrela in 1990.

Having been involved in many levels of football teams, Mourinho started working as a scout at Ovarense in 1991. In 1993, he joined Sporting Lisbon as a translator, which was perhaps one of the turning points in his career. He became an assistant coach in the same year. Then, just 1 year later, he joined Porto as an assistant coach, where he would achieve great success in the future.

After a two-year adventure at Porto, he experienced another turning point and joined Barcelona as a translator, where he also became an assistant coach. After Barcelona, Mourinho took charge of Benfica for a short time and achieved the success of being a manager at a big team. After a 10-match adventure at Benfica, Mourinho took charge of Leiria and returned to Porto as manager in January 2002. Achieving giant successes at Porto, Mourinho won the Portuguese League twice, the Portuguese Cup once, the Portuguese Super Cup once, and the UEFA Europa League once with his team. In 2004, Mourinho, who went down in the history of Porto and Portugal, won the Champions League with his team.

After the giant successes at Porto, "The Special One" headed to Chelsea, agreed with Chelsea, and achieved great success there as well. Experiencing his longest managerial tenure at the helm of the Blues, Mourinho became the champion in the English Premier League in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006, and won the English League Cup twice and the English Super Cup once.

After leaving Chelsea, Mourinho went to Inter and continued to win trophies at the Italian giant. Winning Serie A for two consecutive seasons with the Milan team, Mourinho also won the Italian Super Cup once and achieved a historic success for Inter by becoming the Champions League champion for the second time in 2010.

After the great successes he experienced at Porto, Chelsea, and Inter, the doors of Real Madrid opened to Mourinho, and his three-year Madrid adventure began in July 2010. "The Special One," who stood up to Guardiola's Barcelona with Messi, won the Spanish Cup in 2010-2011, La Liga in 2011-2012, and the Spanish Super Cup in 2012-2013 with Real Madrid.

At the end of three years, Mourinho left Real and returned to Chelsea, becoming the Premier League and English League Cup champion again in 2014-2015. After his second Chelsea career, which lasted two years, he took charge of Manchester United in July 2016. Winning the UEFA Europa League and the English League Cup with the Red Devils in 2017, Mourinho also won the English Super Cup for the second time.

Leaving Manchester United in 2018, Mourinho took charge of Tottenham in 2019, but his contract was suddenly terminated without winning any trophies at the London team. Taking charge of Roma in 2021, Jose Mourinho won the UEFA Europa Conference League here as well and became the first manager to win all UEFA tournaments.

The Portuguese manager also won the Manager of the Year award in 2003, 2004, 2009, and 2011.
