Mourinho referred to PFDK: TFF rejects allegations

Following the derby played in the 25th week of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray criticized Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho for allegedly using racist language. While Mourinho was referred to the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK), the TFF rejected the racism allegations.

GALATASARAY TO FILE COMPLAINT AGAINST MOURINHO

Galatasaray announced that it would file a complaint with UEFA and FIFA, stating that the remarks Mourinho made during the post-match press conference were racist. Mourinho's comment that the Galatasaray bench was 'jumping like monkeys' drew significant backlash.

The Fenerbahçe management defended Mourinho, stating that his words were misunderstood. Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı stated that Mourinho had no racist intent and that his remarks were related to his reaction to refereeing decisions.

TFF DID NOT ACCEPT RACISM ALLEGATIONS

Jose Mourinho was referred to the PFDK in accordance with Articles 36 and 41 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions. However, since he was not referred under Article 42, which covers discrimination violations, the TFF did not accept the racism allegations against Mourinho. It is estimated that Mourinho's penalty could be a three-match ban for insulting behavior.

While the debates continue, there has been no statement from the Portuguese manager yet. On the other hand, Mourinho, who stated that he was satisfied with the performance of the Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic, who was appointed to the Galatasaray derby, praised the referee by saying, "He showed a performance that did justice to this big match."
