National Team arrives in the US for the World Cup

National Team arrives in the US for the World Cup

The National Football Team, which will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has arrived in the US state of Florida.

The plane carrying the Crescent-Stars delegation, which departed from Istanbul on a private flight, landed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The delegation, which included Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu and board members, was welcomed by Sedat Önal and Resul Şahinol.

ENTHUSIASTIC WELCOME FROM FANS

The national team delegation left the airport and headed to their hotel. Turkish fans gathered in front of the hotel to support the team with flags and chants.

Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the journey went smoothly.

FINAL PREPARATORY MATCH AGAINST VENEZUELA

The National Team, which will compete in Group D of the World Cup, will play its final friendly match before the tournament against Venezuela on Sunday, June 7, at 01:00 Turkish time (TSİ) at the Inter Miami Stadium in Miami.

Following this match, the national team will conclude their work in Florida and travel the same day to the city of Mesa in the state of Arizona, which will serve as their main training camp.

GROUP D OPPONENTS ANNOUNCED

In the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada, Turkey will compete in Group D alongside the US, Paraguay, and Australia.

The Crescent-Stars will face Australia in their first group stage match on Sunday, June 14, at 07:00 Turkish time (TSİ) at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
