National tennis player Zeynep Sönmez has achieved her best career ranking, climbing to 54th in the women's world rankings.
The national athlete climbed 7 spots in the weekly updated Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.
Zeynep Sönmez had reached the second round in her most recent tournament, the WTA 250 level Nottingham Open. The 24-year-old athlete thus broke her career record.
Zeynep, who holds the title of the Turkish tennis player with the highest world ranking, improved her record to settle into 54th place.
