New move from Fenerbahçe: Majority stake in that club acquired

Fenerbahçe has taken a notable step to expand its pool of young talent and establish an academy-based network in Europe. The yellow-navy management has purchased an 85 percent stake in the Bregalnica Štip club, which competes in the North Macedonian Second League.

300 THOUSAND EURO DEAL

Under the agreement, Fenerbahçe acquired the majority stake in the club for 300 thousand Euros. Half of this amount was transferred to the club's previous owner, while the other half was transferred to the Štip Municipality, the club's local supporter. The municipality will retain its 15 percent stake in the club.

SHARES TO BE RETURNED IF RELEGATED

One of the most striking details in the agreement is a safeguard clause regarding potential sporting failure. Accordingly, if Bregalnica Štip is relegated to the third league, Fenerbahçe will be required to transfer all of its shares back to the Štip Municipality without demanding any payment.
