No technical staff from Fenerbahçe attended the press conference
Following Fenerbahçe's elimination by Galatasaray in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, no technical staff member attended the press conference.
In the Ziraat Turkish Cup quarter-final, Fenerbahçe faced Galatasaray at home, with the derby ending in a 2-1 victory for the yellow-reds.
Following the final whistle of the match, Fenerbahçe Head Coach Jose Mourinho physically intervened with Galatasaray Head Coach Okan Buruk on the pitch.
Mourinho pinched Okan Buruk's nose, causing the yellow-red coach to fall to the ground.
Referee Cihan Aydın showed a red card to the yellow-navy coach.
Fenerbahçe Assistant Coach Salvatore Foti also received a red card during the altercation that occurred in the 90th minute.
Due to the fights and arguments that took place during the derby, Fenerbahçe did not participate in the press conference as a form of protest.
