Okan Buruk announces: Separation bells are ringing at Galatasaray!
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk made statements regarding transfer plans following the victory against Ümraniyespor.
Galatasaray won their first pre-season friendly match against Ümraniyespor with a score of 5-2. The goals for the yellow-reds were scored by Berkan Kutlu, Nicolo Zaniolo, Derrick Köhn, Metehan Baltacı, and Ada Yüzgeç.
Speaking after the match, manager Okan Buruk stated that the number of foreign players in the squad needs to be reduced. Buruk said, "We need to lighten our foreign player count. The performances the players display here will facilitate the transfer of some players. These matches are important for those watching their performance."
Galatasaray will open the Süper Lig season away at Gaziantep FK. The yellow-red team, which will face Admira Wacker in their second friendly match, will then complete their pre-season preparations by playing against Cagliari, Strasbourg, and Lazio.
