Okan Buruk responds to Jose Mourinho question
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk, who recently signed a new contract with the club, commented on Fenerbahçe's new head coach, Jose Mourinho.
Okan Buruk, who celebrated two consecutive championships with Galatasaray, has signed a new 2-year contract with the Yellow-Reds.
A signing ceremony was held for the successful manager.
During the ceremony, Okan Buruk was asked about Fenerbahçe's new head coach, Jose Mourinho.
Following the question, "Do you think you played a role in Jose Mourinho's arrival?", Buruk replied, "I wasn't involved in the negotiations. So I had no part in it (Laughing)."
Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek then commented, "I think you did."
Okan Buruk later added, "A manager is important for every team. Beşiktaş has signed with a successful coach. Trabzonspor is continuing with a successful coach like Abdullah Avcı. It will be more competitive than last year. Actually, our rivals pushed our performance higher. We want the championship again."
