Continuing his reaction at the press conference held after the match, Okan Buruk stated the following:

After 3-1, we did not give away clear chances, but the game went outside of our own control. The defense started to drop back. The penalty given is a separate file this year... I think this will continue! If the ball hits a player's arm after they jump into the air, what is this player supposed to do? Either what the referee instructors who come and explain it to us say is wrong, or what the referees do is wrong. Or the decisions of the referees in Europe are wrong! Are they supposed to jump for an aerial ball at attention? I wouldn't give a penalty for this even if it were in my favor. VAR called, he gave it. I asked the head referee at the end of the match, but he couldn't exactly say it was a penalty. They brought the opponent back into the game.
