Okan Buruk's response that will anger Mourinho: 'I don't take it seriously...'
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk responded to the remarks made by Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho.
Galatasaray's successful manager Okan Buruk addressed the comments made by Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho regarding the Galatasaray match during a program he attended on TV 100. Speaking about Mourinho's words, "I watched the Galatasaray match for 1 minute, that was enough," Buruk stated that he does not take these remarks very seriously.
Buruk said, "I don't take these kinds of statements very seriously. It's a situation we are already used to. Lucas Torreira's foot was stepped on; the opposing player could have even been given a red card. Only Erman Toroğlu said it was a 'penalty.' The situation could have turned from a yellow to a red card," he said.
Okan Buruk stated that one should remain calmer on such issues, adding, "We need to remain silent on these types of issues and not prolong them. We need to extinguish the fire that has been lit. If he reached out his hand, I would reach out mine too. I have never held a grudge against anyone in my life," he expressed.
