In that round, Olympiacos defeated Cukaricki 3-1 and 3-0 to qualify for the UEFA Europa League group stage.
Placed in Group A of the UEFA Europa League alongside Freiburg, Backa Topola, and West Ham United, Olympiacos finished the group with 7 points, recording 2 wins, 1 draw, and 3 losses. Finishing third in the group behind West Ham United and Freiburg, Olympiacos continued their path in the Conference League.
The Greek team advanced to the round of 16 in the Conference League by defeating the Hungarian side Ferencvaros 1-0 in both legs of the knockout round play-offs.

Olympiacos achieved something of a miracle in the UEFA Conference League round of 16. The Greek team lost 4-1 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the first leg at home. Pulling off a major surprise in the return leg, Olympiacos finished the 90 minutes leading 4-1. The Greek side then scored two more goals in extra time to leave the pitch with a 6-1 victory.
By defeating Maccabi Tel Aviv 6-1 away after losing 4-1 at home, Olympiacos became the first team in the history of European competitions to advance in a two-legged knockout tie after losing the first leg at home by a margin of 3 or more goals.
