The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) announced its decisions following its meeting today. According to the decisions taken, penalties were imposed on the Kayserispor, Adana Demirspor, Başakşehir, Galatasaray, Konyaspor, and Fenerbahçe clubs.
According to the decisions, it was ruled that the D block stand at Kayserispor would be closed for one match due to 'ugly and bad chanting'.
Adana Demirspor was fined 168,000 TL due to 'field incidents caused by its fans'.
On the other hand, it was ruled that Başakşehir be 'punished with a warning in accordance with Article 46/1 of the FDT due to non-compliance with the sports equipment instruction in the Başakşehir-Galatasaray Trendyol Süper League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 12.01.2025'.
FINE AND STAND CLOSURE PENALTY FOR GALATASARAY
The PFDK also decided that Galatasaray be punished with a fine of 390,000 TL in accordance with Article 53/2 of the FDT due to ugly and bad chanting caused by its fans during the Başakşehir-Galatasaray Trendyol Süper League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 12.01.2025, and because this action was carried out for the 5th time in the same season in a match where they were the guest club.
Furthermore, it was announced that the electronic tickets of the fans located in the E block during the same match would be blocked due to ugly and bad chanting, preventing their entry to the next match where the club is the guest.
Galatasaray administrator Metin Öztürk was fined 450,000 TL due to his 'statements contrary to sportsmanship' made to the media after the match.
FINES RAINED DOWN ON FENERBAHÇE
Penalties were also imposed on the Konyaspor and Fenerbahçe clubs due to incidents that occurred during and after the Konyaspor-Fenerbahçe match played on 13.01.2025.
Konyaspor was given a 168,000 TL fine and partial stand closure penalties due to 'field incidents caused by its fans'.
Fenerbahçe was also given a partial stand closure penalty due to 'ugly and bad chanting caused by its fans' in the same match. For the same reasons, Fenerbahçe was hit with three separate fines of 168,000 TL, 660,000 TL, and 780,000 TL. The yellow-navy club was also given an additional fine of 600,000 TL due to 'statements contrary to sportsmanship published on the club's official social media account (X)'.
