Police take action ahead of Samsunspor-Trabzonspor derby
The Samsun Provincial Police Department has initiated judicial and administrative proceedings against 8 individuals who made provocative, derogatory, and abusive posts on social media ahead of the Samsunspor-Trabzonspor match.
As part of the virtual patrol activities conducted by the Police Department regarding the Samsunspor-Trabzonspor football match under the "Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports," it was determined that negative posts were being made through certain social media accounts.
In the investigation conducted on the profiles of social media users who made provocative, derogatory, and abusive posts targeting fan groups regarding the Samsunspor-Trabzonspor football match, it was determined that the profile owners were individuals identified as A.F.D., S.E., G.G., M.E.Ö, S.N., H.A., G.K. and F.D.
A total of 8 social media users were identified and apprehended, and judicial and administrative proceedings were initiated against them.
It was stated that police teams will continue their virtual patrol operations.
