Paris Saint-Germain has become the champion of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season. In the final of the most prestigious club-level organization in European football, French representative PSG faced English representative Arsenal.

In the final match played in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, the regular time and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw. PSG, which gained the upper hand over its opponent in the penalty shootout that determined the champion, took the trophy home.

CHAMPION FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE TIME

Reaching the happy ending as a result of the penalty shootout, the Paris team managed to win the UEFA Champions League trophy for the second time in a row.

SECOND TROPHY IN THIRD FINAL

Competing in the Champions League final for the third time in its history, PSG had its first final experience in 2020. That season, the French team lost 1-0 to German representative Bayern Munich in the final and could not win the trophy.

Last season, PSG defeated Italian representative Inter 5-0 in the final to reach the first Champions League victory in club history.

Managing to overcome Arsenal this season as well, the French giants achieved a significant success in European football by lifting the trophy for the second time in a row.

Participating in the tournament with the title of defending champion, PSG could not display the expected performance in the league phase. The French representative collected 14 points in the eight-match league stage, with four wins, two draws, and two losses.

Finishing the league phase in 11th place, PSG had to play in the play-offs as it could not qualify directly for the round of 16.

ELIMINATED GIANT RIVALS ONE BY ONE

Eliminating Monaco from France in the play-off round, PSG was matched with English representative Chelsea in the round of 16 and continued its journey by eliminating its opponent.

Passing another English team, Liverpool, in the quarter-finals, the Paris representative pushed Germany's strong team, Bayern Munich, out of the tournament in the semi-finals.

Rising to the final by leaving tough rivals behind, PSG completed the season as champions by reaching for the trophy against Arsenal.
