After a VAR check, referee Munuera reviewed the position and pointed to the penalty spot for the second time. Kylian Mbappe scored his team's 2nd goal from the penalty spot.
Arda Güler was replaced by Lucas Vazquez in the 78th minute of the match.
Carlo Ancelotti's students, who won the match 2-0, increased their points to 11. Real Sociedad, on the other hand, suffered their 3rd defeat and remained at 4 points.
