Referees have made their decision: Will they take the pitch?
The referees, who met with TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi, have decided to officiate the matches scheduled for the midweek.
Following the attack on Halil Umut Meler during the Ankaragücü - Çaykur Rizespor match, the decision made by the Süper Lig referees has been revealed.
According to a report by TRT Spor, the referees, who held a meeting with Turkish Football Federation President Mehmet Büyükekşi in Riva, have decided to officiate the league matches to be played in the coming midweek. The report noted that the referees are expected to issue a written statement later in the day.
Speaking to A Spor after the meeting, Mehmet Büyükekşi stated, "The referees did not have any request not to officiate the matches."
On the other hand, the camp planned for this weekend for the referees and their families has been canceled. The referees will leave the facilities in Riva shortly and return to their homes.
