Remarkable statement from the Palace following the incident-filled Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match!

The events that took place during the Trabzonspor – Fenerbahçe match, played in the 30th week of the Süper Lig, have gone down as a dark stain in the history of Turkish football.

Following the match, which the Yellow-Navies won 3-2, Trabzonspor fans entered the pitch and attacked the Fenerbahçe players.

While the Turkish Football Federation issued a statement saying, "Let no one have any doubt that criminal sanctions will be applied to those responsible for the incidents," Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that an investigation had been launched.

A remarkable statement regarding the Trabzonspor fans' attack on the Fenerbahçe players came from the Palace. 

Mehmet Uçum, Chief Advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Legal Policies Board, said in a social media post following the events, "What happened in football tonight will not remain only in its own channel. Those responsible must make the necessary assessments."
