Rival emerges for Fenerbahçe in Greenwood transfer
Marseille is demanding a high transfer fee for English star Mason Greenwood, whose name was mentioned among the campaign promises of Hakan Safi, a presidential candidate at Fenerbahçe.
The Fenerbahçe community is buzzing with the name Mason Greenwood during these active days of the transfer window. One of the most notable projects of Hakan Safi, who has joined the presidential race for the yellow-navies, is to bring star footballer Greenwood to the team. However, the figure that the French club Marseille is asking for Greenwood is staggering.
In the contract for Greenwood, who was transferred from Manchester United last season, the English club included a clause for a 50 percent share of any future sale. For this reason, Marseille is not considering selling the player for a price below 50 million Euros. According to reports in the European sports press, Hakan Safi appears ready to meet this high transfer fee.
On the other hand, it has been stated that not only Fenerbahçe, but also Serie A side Roma is interested in the transfer of Mason Greenwood and has begun negotiations with Marseille. This development has further intensified the transfer race while increasing the excitement of the yellow-navy fans.
