Sadettin Saran announces his candidacy for Fenerbahçe presidency

Saran Holding Chairman of the Board Sadettin Saran has announced that he will be a candidate in the presidential election expected to be held at Fenerbahçe in September 2025. In a written statement, Saran also noted that he did not support the signature campaign.

Here is the statement made by Saran;

"To the Great Fenerbahçe Family and the Esteemed Public,

Like all Fenerbahçe fans, we have been closely following the developments in our club in recent months. Although our thoughts and stance have been clearly known by everyone who follows us closely until today, we believe that the time has come to share our views and thoughts with the public at this point.

Dear Fenerbahçe fans,

As we all know, Fenerbahçe is not just a club that has reached the pinnacle of Europe in basketball; when evaluated with all its branches, it is indisputably the world's greatest sports club. As a natural extension of this greatness, it is an inevitable necessity for our football team to always be at the top.

In this context, the "extraordinary congress signature campaign" initiated as a reflection of the growing sense of dissatisfaction in our community is a democratic right that every Fenerbahçe fan respects and is evaluated as such.

However, we do not find it right for elected administrations to be removed from office through such methods. Fenerbahçe is a community with the virtue not to remove even a president who has seen the most rival championships in the past through this method. For this reason, we did not support this signature campaign and were not a part of it.

Regardless of the outcome of the signature campaign, our stance regarding our presidential candidacy is as follows:

In order to lead our Fenerbahçe to the expected championships as soon as possible, we are candidates for this great responsibility together with our friends at the first congress to be held, without any conditions.

I request that no Fenerbahçe fan has the slightest hesitation on this matter.
