Following the match, famous comedian Şahan Gökbakar, known as a staunch Galatasaray supporter, drew attention with his criticisms on his social media account. Gökbakar stated, "We dropped 2 points to a few ordinary Black players, Tayfur Bingöl, Serdar Dursun, and Can Keleş. We lost 5 points to this Kocaelispor. The championship is about to slip away! These statements drew a major reaction from Kocaelispor fans, and the Hodri Meydan group published a harsh response targeting Gökbakar.
