Salary raise for Okan Buruk at Galatasaray ahead of the derby

It is claimed that the Galatasaray management has increased the salary of head coach Okan Buruk, who has been at the helm of the yellow-red team for 1.5 years.

Galatasaray has finally rewarded Okan Buruk, the championship-winning coach of last season. Taking charge of the yellow-red team at the beginning of the 2022-23 season, Buruk had signed a 1+1 year contract without discussing financial terms.

The successful coach, who was earning 17 million TL, had his option exercised after the championship, and his salary increased to 20 million TL according to the figure written in the contract.

According to the report by Sabah Gazetesi, it was noted that the management granted the expected raise to Okan Buruk, who has kept Galatasaray at the top for 1.5 years, secured a Champions League ticket this season, and subsequently led the team to compete against giant clubs in that arena.

With a 50 percent improvement, the experienced coach's guaranteed salary will be 30 million TL.
