Samsunspor releases statement regarding the incident-filled Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match!

Samsunspor has released a statement regarding the incidents that took place during the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match played in the 30th week of the Süper Lig.

The Black Sea team called for calm and unity from both sides.

The statement made by the club is as follows:

"The incidents that occurred during the match played between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe clubs last night have deeply saddened our Club as a member of the football family.

As Samsunspor Football Club, while we are quite disturbed by the recent incidents of violence in football, we are concerned about the development and brand value of Turkish football due to the observed increase in such actions.

As all stakeholders, we must not tolerate such actions in calm and unity, and regardless of which match it is, we must stand against all acts of violence with a single common voice.

It is the duty of all of us to act in accordance with the unifying spirit of Turkish football, sportsmanship, and fair play.

For this reason, we would like to inform the public that we will stand behind and support the penalties and decisions that our State and our Federation will take in the face of last night's grave incidents of violence.

We will continue to fight at all times so that Turkish football can remain fair, equal, and clean."
