Samsunspor: The penalty rule was clearly not applied tonight
Samsunspor Club reacted to the referee's decision in their 3-2 loss to Galatasaray in the Trendyol Süper League. The red-and-white club stated, "The penalty rule was clearly not applied tonight. Note this down in history."
In a statement released by the red-and-white club, it was noted that in the final part of the match, a penalty in their favorarguing that a penalty decision was not given,it was stated as follows: "Despite our calls forclean, fair, and
equal football,at every opportunity we areconfronted withWe are facing dire decisions by the matchofficials. Despite the statements made by our cluband our President, Mr.YükselYıldırım,we continue tobeconfronted withIt is observed that the match officialshave not correctedthemselves or their decisions;on the contrary, in everymatch, they have made much worse decisions than the previous one.It is evidentthat in the final minutes of tonight's match,aOur penalty was clearly not awarded. The position was ignored. The contact of the ball with the opposing player was disregarded. The constant one-sided decisions made against our team have reached the heavens tonight. TSuch poor decisions in Turkish footballand those who make these decisions must be cleared out immediately. Otherwise, our country'svaluable asset, Turkish football, will continue to suffer."
In thestatement, the Turkish Football Federation and its boardscalling for the necessary actions to be taken, and stating, "The penalty rule was clearly not appliedtonight.Mark this down in history," were the expressions used.
