Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak has announced that preparations have begun for the 2023 Super Cup match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, which will be played in Şanlıurfa on April 7.

Governor Şıldak stated that the Turkish Football Federation's (TFF) decision to hold the Super Cup match in Şanlıurfa is a source of great joy. He expressed that hosting Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in Şanlıurfa has created great excitement in the city.

Şıldak said the following regarding the matter:

"The Turkish Football Federation has made a very important and exciting decision for Şanlıurfa. The Super Cup final will be played between our two important teams on Sunday, April 7. We have already started preparations for the cup. With the renovation of its stands, the 11 Nisan Stadium has become a venue that meets FIFA standards. We will also carry out the necessary maintenance and repairs to make it ready for this organization."

Governor Şıldak stated that negotiations have begun to arrange additional flights for the date the Super Cup match will be played, and that in addition to hotels, public facilities will also be ready to accommodate the sports fans coming to the city.
