Scandal at Beşiktaş! Dismissed employee deletes data
A scout dismissed from the Beşiktaş Football Academy entered his office at the Fulya Hakkı Yeten Facilities and deleted data on more than 3,000 players. Club staff managed to recover the deleted data, preventing a major loss.
In line with the recent restructuring at the Beşiktaş Football Academy, the club parted ways with scout chief Haluk Çakar and scouts Nejdet Ergün, Haluk Duranoğlu, Haydar Etik, Mehmet Kasım Gündüz, and Değer Batmaz. The events that followed this development have caused significant frustration within the black-and-white club.

According to a report by Sabah, one of the individuals dismissed by Beşiktaş went to the Fulya Hakkı Yeten Facilities after his termination, stating that he would return the vehicle assigned to him and collect his personal belongings from his office.
Upon entering the office he used during his tenure, the individual in question deleted data on more than 3,000 players that had been recorded on the computer during his time in the role.
The incident came to light when current coaches, who were at training during the event, later wanted to check the data for their work. The deleted data was recovered by club staff, thus preventing a significant loss of information.
It was also noted that the individual, with whom the club had parted ways, had destroyed written reports as well.
