Sergen Yalçın bids farewell to Antalyaspor

In the 38th and final week of the Süper Lig, Antalyaspor drew 1-1 away against Alanyaspor. Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Antalyaspor manager Sergen Yalçın stated that they are parting ways with Antalyaspor as of today.

Stating that Antalyaspor achieved its goals in the second half of the league, Yalçın used the following sentences:

“We did not start the game well. We had a serious lack of concentration in the first 10-15 minutes. In such situations, football punishes you. We can say we started the game 1-0 down. After that, we balanced the game. We started to press our opponent. We found chances; we could have balanced the game in the first half as well. But we went into the break trailing. The tempo dropped even further in the second half. It is normal for the tempo of the game to drop in the final match of the league. The second half was a balanced game for both sides. We did not concede any chances. The score was equalized with a goal we scored from a cross. A draw seems like a fair result. It was the final match of the season. As of today, we are parting ways. I would like to thank the Antalyaspor fans for the support they have given us. I thank the president, the board of directors, and my players who showed character. Antalyaspor painted a good portrait in the second half of the league in line with its own goals. The goal was the 50-point threshold and the success of finishing in the top 10. Our players achieved this goal. I wish Antalyaspor success for the upcoming season as well.”
