Sex tape blackmail against Aston Villa owner

In an incident that began in 2022, it was revealed that billionaire Wesley Edens and 46-year-old Changli Luo made contact via LinkedIn. It was stated that Edens, who had recently divorced, met with Luo at his home in New York. Following the meeting, Luo sent Edens a letter containing emotional lines. In the letter in question, the phrase, "I never told you I loved you, but today I want to admit that I have been hiding my feelings," drew attention.

BLACKMAIL ALLEGATIONS AND MASSIVE DEMANDS

According to the file prepared by authorities, Luo threatened to share hidden camera footage following this personal contact and initially demanded a payment of 7.5 million dollars. It is alleged that Luo increased the pressure by threatening to send these images to Edens' family, his ex-wife, and media outlets. The demands increased over time; when Luo claimed that she had contracted the HPV virus from Edens, the requested amount rose to over 1 billion dollars, reaching 1.2 billion dollars. This figure is equivalent to nearly half of Edens' personal wealth.

FBI OPERATION AND SEIZED EVIDENCE

Following the events, the FBI stepped in upon Edens' complaint. Changli Luo's home in New York was searched by federal agents. Striking details emerged during the investigation; two mobile phones hidden inside a laundry basket and sanitary pad boxes were discovered. It was reported that images were detected on the phones in which Edens' face had been montaged onto the bodies of different men.

ARREST AND COURT PROCESS

It was reported that Luo was taken into custody following the police operation and was released on 500 thousand dollars bail. It was learned that preparations are underway for the trial of Luo, who faces a series of charges, primarily blackmail. The trial is expected to begin in the coming months.

Wesley Edens is among the founders of the investment firm Fortress Investment Group. It was noted that in addition to his ownership of Aston Villa, Edens is also one of the partners of the NBA team Milwaukee Bucks. All these developments have once again drawn attention to Edens in both the sports and business worlds.
