Statement from Dursun Özbek regarding Erden Timur

Ahead of the presidential election to be held at Galatasaray on May 25, Dursun Özbek has submitted his list to the council of trustees.

Arriving at the Council of Trustees Presidency at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex RAMS Park, President Dursun Özbek and the candidate board members submitted their candidacy file to the council president, Aykutalp Derkan.

Making statements after submitting his list, Özbek said, "As you know, Galatasaray is entering an election period. As of May 3, those who are candidates to manage Galatasaray in the coming period must submit their lists to the council, and we have submitted our lists. Election periods are a festive time for Galatasaray. It is the general assembly that will make the decision. We are completing a 2-year term. The management to be elected by the general assembly will continue to serve Galatasaray. I would like to thank my colleagues who worked in the administration over the past two years. I also extend a big thank you to the general assembly members who did not leave us alone during the past term. They supported us for unity and solidarity. I also send a big thank you to my fans. We played in full stadiums in every match. I ask them not to withhold this support from us. We have reached the final stretch in football this season. Our women's football team is playing its championship match this weekend. We are also chasing the championship in the Super League. I want everyone to work so that their concentration is not broken in this race. May is ours. I offer my respects to you all."

RESPONSE REGARDING ERDEN TİMUR

Responding to a question about Erden Timur and Sportif AŞ, Özbek said, "Sportif AŞ is a decision to be made after the election. Our work on this matter continues. The clarification of the process will happen after the election. The goal of administrations is to lead Galatasaray from success to success. I have been working with Erden Timur for 7 years. He is a Galatasaray enthusiast. He is a friend of mine who burns with a passion to serve Galatasaray. After the election, we will be together with everyone who wants to serve Galatasaray. Do not think of it in the way it is being discussed outside."
