Statement from Fenerbahçe regarding the signature process

The yellow-navy club has issued a statement regarding the signatures collected ahead of the extraordinary general assembly. The written statement, issued under the signature of Fenerbahçe Board Member Alper Alpoğlu, included the following remarks:

"We have witnessed an unfair and base perception being created on social media throughout the day, suggesting that a certain number of signature declarations submitted to our club during the extraordinary general assembly signature process have been destroyed—a claim that is in no way compatible with our club's values. The procedures to be followed regarding the extraordinary general assembly signature process are clearly defined in the provisions of the law and our statutes. Accordingly, signature declarations sent either through notaries or individually by our congress members are received by our club's general secretariat.

Furthermore, as a result of discussions held with our High Council Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu, the signature declarations submitted to him are also being delivered to our club's general secretariat at regular intervals.

The received signature declarations are being evaluated and preserved by the relevant boards in accordance with our statutory provisions. The process in question is being conducted in accordance with the ethics and values of Fenerbahçe, as well as the provisions of the law and our statutes.

I would like to state that we are pleased to see our community reacting appropriately to this pathetic mentality that is far from understanding, grasping, and living by Fenerbahçe's values. We would like the public to know that, as has been the case until now, the rights and interests of our Fenerbahçe and all Fenerbahçe fans will continue to be protected from here on out."
