Stephane Peterhansel wins the second stage of the Dakar Rally
The second stage of the Dakar Rally, the world's toughest motorsport challenge, has been completed. Red Bull athlete Stephane Peterhansel was the winner of the car category in the second stage. Sebastien Loeb, Seth Quintero, and Nasser Al-Attiyah followed Peterhansel.
The second stage of the 46th Dakar Rally has been completed. Red Bull athlete Stephane Peterhansel emerged as the winner of the car category in the challenging race, which took place on a 463-kilometer course stretching from Al Hinakiyah to Al Duwadimi.
Peterhansel set the fastest time in the 2nd stage, making history by securing his 50th Dakar stage victory. The French driver now shares the record for the most stage wins with Ari Vatanen. The Dakar legend also holds a total of 14 championships, 8 in the car category and 6 in the motorcycle category.

The third stage of the race will be held on Monday, January 8, on a 438-kilometer course between Al Duwadimi and Al Salamiya. The 2024 Dakar Rally, consisting of 12 stages, will conclude on January 19 in the city of Yanbu.
