As referee controversies continue in the Süper Lig, the Turkish Football Federation has announced that it is seeking new referees.
The 12th week of the Süper Lig has passed. Clubs have been dissatisfied with refereeing performances since the beginning of the season.
With reactions intensifying, especially in recent weeks, a surprise move has come from the TFF.
The TFF announced on its social media account that it is looking for new referees.
The statement said, "The Turkish Football Federation Referee Academy is opening candidate referee courses across Turkey. We invite everyone who wants to start a refereeing career to fill out the application form."
The statement noted that the courses will consist of three stages: "Online Content Sharing," "In-Person Training and Rule Examination in Provinces," and "Athletic Performance Test," and that successful candidates will begin their refereeing careers as candidate referees.
