TBF imposes fine on Fenerbahçe Beko
The Turkish Basketball Federation Disciplinary Board has announced that a fine has been imposed on Fenerbahçe Beko due to incidents that occurred during the first match of the Basketball Super League final series.
The Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) Disciplinary Board has fined Fenerbahçe Beko 210,000 Turkish Lira.
According to the statement released by the TBF, the board imposed the 210,000 lira fine on the yellow-navy club due to "arena and spectator incidents" and "ugly and improper chanting" by fans during the first match of the Basketball Super League play-off final series between Fenerbahçe Beko and Beşiktaş Fibabanka.
The Disciplinary Board also fined Beşiktaş 140,000 lira for "unsportsmanlike statements" published on the club's official website following the match in question.
Additionally, the board imposed a 120,000 lira fine on Özkan Arseven, a member of the black-and-white club's board of directors, for "unsportsmanlike statements."
