TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu evaluates the US training camp: 'They made the Grey Wolf sign after the match'

Responding to questions from journalists at the training camp in America, Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the Italian coach is a well-liked figure within the team.

Stating that Montella is happy to serve Turkey, Hacıosmanoğlu said, "The coach has a huge contribution to creating a collegiate atmosphere. All the players love him, and we love him too. We have a friendship rather than just a coach-president relationship. They provided the environment, and we are supporting them.

The more we help his team, from the lowest to the highest level, the more motivated they will be, and this will reflect on every stage of the national team. We are walking together with our coach.

He is also proud to be here. Yesterday, while going to training, he showed a video on the bus. His daughter and her friends were wearing national team jerseys and watching the USA match. These are all foreign children. They even made the Grey Wolf sign after the match.

An Italian coach embraces Turkey and says, 'I feel like a Turk,' but if his daughter experiences those feelings while watching a match in another country, it means it has spread to the family as well. My coach will serve the national team successfully for many years; he has no other thoughts anyway," he said.

Expressing his belief that the national team should participate directly in the World Cup, the TFF President said, "Austria was the favorite of the European Championship. After beating them in a spectacular way, I was looking at it as if we would play in the final. After we were unfortunately eliminated by the Netherlands, when I reacted strongly, my 9-year-old daughter said, 'Dad, why are you angry? There is the World Cup.

Go be the president of football, let's be World Champions.' I believe in her pure heart. I became a candidate 12 days before the congress, and God willed for me to be elected. I believe this generation should go directly to the World Cup. If God wills, we will achieve that too. We will work hard, and God will reward that effort. I have a belief inside me that we will participate directly. I hope God wills it," he assessed.

Emphasizing that the A National Football Team is supported not only by Turkey but also by Muslim countries, Hacıosmanoğlu said, "The national team is the team of 80 million, but when we attend both UEFA and FIFA meetings, we meet with federation presidents from many Muslim countries. Millions of people in the Muslim world are waiting for Turkey's success in the World Cup. I hope God wills to make them happy too. We beat America, but in Gaza, our children are leaving this world at a young age due to the treacherous bullets of the oppressor. We dedicate this victory to them. If we made them happy, how happy for us," he said.

"A SQUAD THAT WILL PLAY TOGETHER FOR OVER 10 YEARS"

İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the national team has captured a generation that will play with the same squad for 10 years.

Mentioning his conversation with Hakan Çalhanoğlu, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu continued as follows:

"Hakan was sad because he lost two Champions League finals. Upon that, we said, 'It suits you to lift the World Cup.' Hakan is a very important player, an important character. The national team is also the most high-character squad in history in terms of character. Hakan is the brain of the team. Young people whose names you haven't heard yet will also join the team. It will get better every day. There were stars playing in big teams in Mexico, but lately, they don't have as many stars in Europe as we do. We believe in our team. We will work well, we will fight well, and I hope we win our first match against Mexico," he expressed.

"HE WHO DOES NOT REACT IS NOT A HUMAN"

Drawing attention to the statements made by Roberto Mancini and Pep Guardiola regarding Gaza, Hacıosmanoğlu said:

"I heard Guardiola's statements. It is not a matter of Muslim, Christian, or any other religion. He who does not react to the cruel slaughter of children is not a human. It is happening to our children in Gaza today, but won't it happen to their children tomorrow? We need to protect them. There are economically strong Muslim countries, and I am saddened that they do not show even one-tenth of the reaction shown by others. I think if Muslim countries showed resistance to this oppression, it would end immediately. May God reform them. If they continue like this, what is happening to the children in Gaza today will happen to them tomorrow. Therefore, I pray to God that they act in unity."

Providing information about their visit to Nobel laureate Turkish scientist Aziz Sancar, Hacıosmanoğlu conveyed the following:

"Aziz Sancar is our pride. You get emotional after seeing the atmosphere there yesterday. At the Aziz Sancar Foundation, they are building guest houses for children coming to study on a 4.5-acre land. You can find a motif from every region of Turkey in every square inch. They also brought the materials from Turkey. Inside, next to the Turkish flag, there are also the flags of the Turkic Republics and the TRNC. It is impossible not to be moved by a Nobel laureate who lives his Turkishness so deeply in the USA. We will also respect these values. That is why we need to come to America for the World Cup.
