TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu's 'look at our past' warning: 'Those who want to win off the pitch...'

The signing ceremony for the "Trendyol Super League and Trendyol 1st League media broadcasting rights" was held between the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and the broadcaster beIN Media Group.

The ceremony, held at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities, was attended by TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu and board members, beIN Media Group CEO Yousef Al-Obaidly, club presidents and representatives, and guests.

Speaking at the ceremony, TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu stated that there has been a lack of will in Turkish football for years, saying, "We were shown this favor in a way that sets an example for the world, and we were elected to the post. I hope we do not disappoint those who elected us. Turkish football needs to be served in a fair, just, impartial, and equidistant manner to everyone."

"THOSE WHO WANT TO WIN OFF THE PITCH..."

Emphasizing that they are not the bosses of football, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu continued as follows:

"The bosses of football are the club presidents and the elements representing their communities. We are the servants of those who want to win sporting success on the pitch. Let those who desire to win off the pitch know that they can guess what they will encounter if they look at our past. We have left what we experienced in the past aside; we have taken off our jerseys. We are all red and white. The brand value of Turkish football has fallen as low as it could go. We want to identify these problems with the football family, determine permanent practices together, and raise the brand value of Turkish football to the level it deserves in the world."

Recalling that they met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino in Paris, the capital of France, Hacıosmanoğlu assessed, "Infantino said that Turkey is a leading country. I made a joke to him. I quoted Napoleon's words, 'If the world were a single state, its capital would be Istanbul.' We will open a FIFA representative office in Istanbul as soon as possible. Infantino thinks that Turkish football will make a great contribution by leading its region. We will raise the brand value of Turkish football together."

Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç, who also spoke at the ceremony, expressed the following:

"We cannot prevent piracy just by changing the law. Service providers need to make software investments. Our state has enacted the necessary laws; now it is time for a technological move. If our state gives us a shoulder there too, everything will be very different.

I hope the new TFF and its boards will establish a fair football environment in the country. This does not happen with one touch; it happens over time. The more belief and trust there is that 'championships are won on the pitch,' the further we will go."

Yousef Al-Obaidly: "We want to increase revenues"

beIN Media Group CEO Yousef Al-Obaidly stated that they are proud to be a part of Turkish football and that they want to increase its brand value.

Expressing their satisfaction with holding the broadcasting rights for the Super League and 1st League for 3 more seasons, Al-Obaidly said, "We will continue to offer excitement to the fans. Our 23-year contribution to Turkish football will continue. This cooperation should be trust-oriented and aim to take Turkish football to the highest level. We will continue to broadcast the Super League globally in various countries. Matches will be broadcast in more than 40 countries. We will work to increase the brand value of Turkish football. We want to increase revenues in the short and medium term."

Drawing attention to the importance of the fight against piracy, Yousef Al-Obaidly said, "One of the most difficult issues is piracy. It threatens football globally. We must do everything to prevent this. We must stand together with the clubs against our common enemy, piracy."

Al-Obaidly noted that they will also support amateur clubs with new projects they will implement.
