Süper Lig team Fatih Karagümrük has thanked MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, who wore the club's pin at his party's group meeting today.
A message of thanks has come from Süper Lig side Fatih Karagümrük to Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
In a post on its X account, Fatih Karagümrük thanked Bahçeli, who attended his party's group meeting wearing the Fatih Karagümrük club pin.
The post included the statement, ''Our esteemed elder, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, has honored us all by wearing our club's pin at the group meeting. We extend our endless thanks to him.''
HE HAD RESIGNED FROM BEŞİKTAŞ MEMBERSHIP
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had previously described the "government resign" chants during earthquake protests in the stands at the Fenerbahçe-Konyaspor match played in the Süper Lig last season as "irresponsibility and lack of consciousness," and had resigned from his Beşiktaş membership following similar "resign" chants at the Beşiktaş-Antalyaspor match played in the same season.
In his statement, he had said, "The systematic disrespect shown to our earthquake martyrs during the match did not befit Beşiktaş and the national and spiritual values that Beşiktaş carries."
