The 4th İsmail Kartal era begins at Fenerbahçe
Following the departure of Jose Mourinho, Fenerbahçe is preparing to reach a new agreement with İsmail Kartal.
According to a report by Sporx, following evaluations for the head coach position at Fenerbahçe, it has been decided to bring İsmail Kartal to the helm of the team.
The yellow-navy management evaluated several foreign coaching candidates alongside Kartal. However, President Ali Koç and the board of directors decided to continue with the experienced coach.
Following Jose Mourinho's departure after the Benfica defeat, many names had been linked to Fenerbahçe.
However, following a meeting between Kartal and Fenerbahçe Vice President Hamdi Akın in recent days, signatures are expected to be finalized shortly. This agreement will mark Kartal's fourth tenure at Fenerbahçe.
During his third stint at Fenerbahçe, İsmail Kartal collected 99 points in the league, achieving the highest points average in club history and marking a significant success. This performance was influential in the management's decision to bring Kartal back to the position.
